As this challenging season draws to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our supporters. Your unwavering loyalty, through every high and low, has meant everything to the players, staff, and everyone connected with Kings Langley FC.
It’s no secret that this has been a tough year for the club, both on and off the pitch. Most poignantly, we sadly lost our dear friend and groundsman, Trevor Dealey. Trevor was a true servant to the club, and his presence continues to be missed around the place every day.
On the pitch things have been tough and we have struggled to see consistency. A change of manager mid-season is never ideal but we thank Jordan Parkes and his team for all of their hard work and we of course thank Steve Heath and his team for coming in and taking on the job of rebuilding during a difficult patch of results.
We were delighted to announce earlier this week that Steve has committed himself to the club next season.
Next season brings with it a fresh opportunity—a chance to regroup, rebuild, and push forward. I believe in this club, in its people, and in its potential.
Potential is something Steve has spoken at length about since coming in and he sees that potential in all facets of the club, and we will be working hard during the summer to ensure we can fulfil the potential he has identified.
In addition, I am incredibly proud of the continued growth of our youth section, we’ve seen boys step up from U18s to the First Team which can only act as inspiration for those coming up behind them.
Our Girls section goes from strength to strength, and seeing our all girls team mixing it in the predominantly boys league is a real achievement!
Thank you once again for standing by us. We move ahead with hope, determination, and a shared passion for Kings Langley FC.
I hope you and your families have a good summer, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Orbital Fasteners in pre-season.
Warm regards,
Darren Eliot
Chairman, Kings Langley FC
