Kings Langley will look for a bounceback win as they face Flackwell Heath on Tuesday evening, after Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Kidlington.

They looked to have the game under control, a goal up at the break thanks to Bradley Smith, only to see the visitors storm into a 3-1 lead. Rayan Clarke pulled one back late on but it wasn’t enough to stop his side slipping to defeat.

Jordan Parkes will want to see his side react to such a setback, with an important period of the season unfolding. The Kidlington loss marked the start of four quickfire matches and he will be desperate for his team to reverse the momentum from Saturday, returning spirits to a higher level within the camp.

Tuesday’s guests, Flackwell Heath, currently sit in fourth spot of the division they joined at the beginning of the season, following their promotion last time out.

They saw their own weekend’s fixture postponed, as AFC Dunstable’s pitch was deemed unplayable, and were last in action on the 12th October. They overcame Stotfold 2-0 on that day and it continued their fine form, winning seven of eight league fixtures so far.

Their run to the FA Trophy third qualifying round was ended by Bishop’s Stortford on penalties and their only loss in the league thus far came at Aylesbury United, back in August.

They’ve adapted to life in the Division One Central remarkably after they claimed the title in the Premier Division North last year and will look to continue their rapid rise up the leagues with victory over Kings.

Parkes’ side are aiming to arrest their poor home form, winning only one league game at The Orbital Fasteners’ Stadium so far and they will need to sharpen up defensively in order for that to happen.

Scoring goals hasn’t been an issue, with the young talent in the attacking ranks coming through, but on too many occasions has their good work been undone by sloppiness at the other end of the pitch.

They will be determined to change that and get back to winning ways. For anyone fancying some midweek football action, kick off is at 7.45 on Tuesday evening. Tickets are priced at £10 per adult, £7 for a concession and £2 for U18s.
