A Kings Langley team bouncing off a stunning 3-0 win at Stotfold and a late equaliser against Flackwell Heath in the space of the last week head to The Meadow on Tuesday evening, looking to continue their good form.

Aylesbury have had a strong start to the season, improving on their 15th placed finish last year and are currently outside the playoffs based on goal difference alone in sixth.

The Ducks impressive opening to their campaign saw them win four straight games in August, but they have struggled for consistency since. Recent weeks have seen them repeatedly follow wins with losses, preventing them from building any real momentum before they overcame AFC Dunstable last time out.

While they have scored by far the least amount of goals of any side in the top half, they have battled through games with a stubborn defensive record bettered only by Real Bedford. With just six goals conceded in 11 games, it’s easy to see where their strength lies and Kings will know they have to make their chances count on Tuesday evening, as they may be few and far between.

Morrison Hashii, who has experience in Singapore’s Premier Division, looks like their go-to man up front with his five goals leading the side.

Jack Hopwood, rejoining at the start of the season for his third spell at the club, is the shot-stopper responsible for their seven league clean sheets, while defenders Liam Bachelor-Moore and club captain Jack Wood have been ever-present at the back.

Meanwhile, it’s been a good week for Kings who claimed an important win over Stotfold on Saturday. That result followed a Qasim Khan 94th minute equaliser against Flackwell Heath in a week where coach Jordan Parkes will surely be pleased with the four points acquired.

James Towell had a great day at right back on Saturday, scoring the first and assisting the third for Bradley Smith to continue his goalscoring run; the loanee taking his season’s tally to five and now bagging in four straight matches.

Jake Anthony, signed from Harpenden Town recently, opened his account with Kings in scoring the second goal and was also heavily involved in the first - hitting the post from which Towell capitalised on the rebound.

Additionally, Kalan Lisbie and Joshua Bryant both made their debuts for the club showing Parkes’ reinforcements are having the desired effect in improving both the strength and depth of the squad.

Victory on Tuesday would take Kings tantalisingly close to their opposition and the prestigious playoff places with another chance to gain ground approaching as they return home on Saturday.

For now though, all focus will be on overcoming a determined Aylesbury United and the boys will need your support. Make the trip to Chesham and The Meadow, HP5 1NE, to see the lads in action as the relentless schedule continues.

Kick off is 7.45pm on Tuesday and tickets are available to buy online here.
